The 28/32H range comprises in-line engines of 5-9 cylinders and V-built with 12,16 or 18 cylinders. With a power range of between 1050 and 1980kw(in-line engines) and between 2520 and 3960kw(V-built), it is an concept with a wide variety of applications.

The sturdy engine structure and amply dimensioned running gear ensure a low level of mechanical stress. Moving parts are optimised for good running properties and low wear rates, while the rigid engine structure gives a low deformation level.

The modular concept and an engineering design that has proved itself in hundreds of successful installations result in a dependable range of engines. It has the lowest routine maintenance schedule on the market and up to 20000 hours between overhauls when operated on HFO.

Constant-pressure turbocharging system with intercooler

The 28/32H engines are fitted with a constant-pressure turbocharger system comprising an exhaust gas receiver, a turbocharger, a charge air cooler and a charge air receiver-the last two incorporated in the engine frame. An intercooler equipped with a water-mist catcher enhances combustion. The turbocharger is a high-efficiency model, with a radial-flow gas turbine and a radial-flow compressor.

Lambda controller

The built-in lambda controller ensures excellent load response and prevents the emission of black smoke under severe load conditions.

Rigid design

The rigid design of the 28/32H series engines permit step loads of up to 50% in one step.

Conformity to global environmental demands

In line with all GenSets from Holeby Diesel, the 28/32H series meets existing and adopted future exhaust emission requirements. Even without special equipment the engine has one of the lowest exhaust gas emission profiles on the market.
