Cooling water pumps,lub.oil pump, thermostatic valves, automatic lub.oil filter and lub.oil plate cooler in a closed circuit are located in a front-end box, resulting in a pipeless engine design. The benefits are easy access and maintenance. The removal and mounting of the cylinder head, piston with con-rod and cylinder liner-is quick and easy. And only a very low overhaul height is required. Every part of the L27/38 has been designed for space-saving effciency.The turbocharger is located low on the engine's aft-end, above the compact gearbox and coupling flange. The L27/38 meets the IMO NOx emission limits. |
