The 23/30A engine is a 4-stroke medium speed diesel engine having 225mm bore and 300mm stroke.

The engine is availiable as an in-line engine with 6 and 8 cylinders and in V-configuration with 12 cylinders.The output per cylinder is 160kw at 900 rpm.

The proven reliability of the 23/30A engine is the result of extensive reaserch coupled with modern design factors which are based on analysis of in service experience from thousands of engines.

The well-designed key components allied with moderate piston speeds and MEP's,i.e.low dynamic and thermal loads ensure excellent reliability and long intervals between service inspections and overhaul.

Main data

The engine are constructed for operation with heavy fuel oil up to 700 cSt/50℃(700 sec Redwood 1/100° F).

Re-designed cylinder heads for optimized combustion conditions as well as improved air and gas flow ensure improved fuel economy.

There is no limitation for part load operation.

The 23/30A engine meets IMO NOx emission limits.
